Intelligent Detectors

Ax-Optical Detector

Photoelectric Smoke Detector (58000-650ADV)

The AX Photoelectric Smoke Detector is suitable for slow burning or smoldering fires and should be positioned where these are most likely to occur. They can be set to a sensitivity mode via the AX range of control and indication equipment which best suits the application.
.
Ax-Heat Detector

Heat Detector (58000-450ADV)

The AX heat detector, distinguishable by the low airflow resistant case, uses a single thermistor to sense the air temperature around the detector. This type of detector is particularly useful where the environment is dirty or smokey under normal conditions. Range is 135F to 200F. Mode setting are either Static/Rate of Rise or Static only.
Ax-Multisensor

Multi Sensor Detector (58000-750ADV)

The AX multi-sensor detector utilizes both photoelectric and thermal sensing technologies to monitor two types of fire signatures: smoke and heat. The built-in microprocessor processes the two signals according to the response mode selection. Each sensing technology can be monitored independently by the AX panels.
Ax Ionisation Detector

Ionization Smoke Detector (58000-550ADV)

The AX Ionization detector is suitable for fast burning, flaming fires and should be positioned where these are most likely to occur. They can be set to a sensitivity mode via the AX range of control of control and indication equipment which best suits the application.

Intelligent Loop Powered Beam Detector (55000-266ADV)

This SLC loop driven device comprises a transmitter, a receiver, an interface and optionally, one or more reflectors. The beam detector is designed to protect large and open spaces such as atriums, museums, warehouses and factories. The transmitter and receiver are designed to be fitted on opposite walls approximately 1ft to 2ft below the ceiling and they can protect areas up to 300ft long and 45ft wide, a total of 13,500ft².

Intelligent Air Duct Detectors (AX-SL-DAA-P/N, AX-SL-DAA4R-P/N)

Used to detect smoke and products of combustion in air moving through HVAC duct work. The units are designed to prevent the recirculation of smoke by air handling systems. The units come with either an intelligent Photo or Ion smoke detector and operate in duct widths of 6” to 10’ wide with an air velocity between 100 and 4,000 feet per minute. Come in both 2 wire and 4 wire versions.

Detector Mounting Bases

E-Z Fit Base (45681-250ADS)

Designed for mounting flexibility, the E-Z Fit Base attaches to the screws of an electrical box, then after tightening, the screws are hidden by unique hinged covers. Bases enable easy to install “one way” only detector attachment without need for force. For added protection, detectors can be locked to the base via a built-in mini-hexagonal screw.

Relay Base (45681-242ADS)

The Relay Base mounts to a 3” octagonal electrical box and incorporates a sub-addressable remote LED output and Form “C” relay contact. The relay receives operating power from the AX Panel’s SLC loop, no extra 24 volt power is required. It can be separately controlled by the panel’s Control-By-Event program.

Multi-Flex Sounder Base (MB-SDRT-AA)

The Multi-Flex Sounder Base provides selectable steady or temporal signal pattern output with low or high volume settings. The base mounts to 4” octagonal or 4” square electrical boxes. Separate 24 volt input required.

Loop Isolator and Isolating Detector Bases (55000-750ADV, 45681-321ADV)

Loop Isolators protect groups of devices from short circuits on the SLC loop, whereas the Isolating Detector Bases protect individual detectors on the SLC loop from short circuits. Both bases contain a yellow LED that illuminates when it detects a short circuit.

Loop Powered Sounder Beacon Base (45681-525ADS, 45681-526ADS)

Powered from the AX Panel’s SLC, these bases provide synchronized “steady” or “ANSI Temporal” tones as well as a flashing red or amber beacon upon alarm activation. Two volume settings are dip switch selectable.

Loop Powered Enhanced Sounder Beacon Base (45681-527ADS, 45681-524ADS)

Powered from the AX Panel’s SLC, these bases provide fifteen (15) synchronized tones as well as a flashing red or amber beacon. In addition, seven (7) different sound levels may be selected. Tones, beacon and volume outputs are each individually selectable and controlled by the AX Series Fire Panels.

Intelligent Pull Stations (AX-APS2-F1, AX-APS2-F2)

The AX Series Intelligent Manual Pull Stations are made of rugged die cast metal for long life and durability. They come with a built-in red LED that turns on steady in alarm and also come with a built-in Form C contact. The stations come in either single or dual action configuration, and contain a toggle switch which is ideal for system testing and servicing.

New York City versions are available: (AX-APS2-F1NYC, AX-APS2-F2NYC)
